A Modified Form of RKCB

Redwood
This form of asking for keycards was developed by Mr. Jeff Rubens while researching a topic referred to as USP - The Useful Space Principle.  A series of articles were presented in The Bridge World magazine in 1980 and 1981.  Jeff received an award for the presentation from The International Bridge Press Association after the publication of his idea.

Unlike Kickback which is useful only for minors, Redwood can be used for hearts as well.

The asking bid is always the suit immediately above the trump suit.
The responses to the asking bid are the same as used in Roman Keycard Blackwood, with the users choice of either 0314 or 1430.
